Little Island Shores

Little Island Shores is part of Republic Polytechnic's Diploma in Arts and Entertainment Production Management's Sensory Circus. A series of theatrical productions catered towards neurodivergent kids that was founded in 2016 by diploma head Samantha Bounaparte.

This was my second experience working with kids but my first with neurodivergent kids. The process which started in mid-November but ended on the 1st of February 2026 was one of my toughest challenges as an actor yet. As it taught me patience and how to better interact with neurodivergent kids while at the same time pushing the show forward.

I ended up growing a lot as an actor but also as a person during this time. For I now have a much deeper respect and sense of empathy not only for these neurodivergent kids, but also their caretakers as well.
